W&N Refined Linseed Oil 250ML

Linseed, poppy and safflower oil are the vegetable oils used to create oil colour; these drying and semi-drying oils give each colour its

different drying rate, consistency and colour. Winsor & Newton Drying Oils, used in conjunction with oil colour, will modify the colours

existing consistency, gloss and drying time. Using oils maintains the flexibility of paint films, particularly when working fat over lean,

and prevents over-thinning, which can happen when using solvents.

A low-viscosity alkali refined oil of pale colour which is a slower drying variant of the linseed oils. Refined Linseed Oil

makes oil colour ‘fatter’.

• Reduces the consistency of the paint and increases gloss & transparency.
• Add to fast-drying oils to balance/slow drying times.
